Os estudantes da UFPB – que pedem melhorias e ampliação na assistência estudantil – e a reitoria da instituição iniciaram uma reunião no final da tarde da última quarta-feira (02) que só chegou ao fim na manhã desta quinta-feira (03).
No encontro, que não contou com a presença da reitora Margareth Diniz, foram negociados as solicitações dos manifestantes.
Neste momento, os discentes estão reunidos para decidir qual será o rumo do movimento que teve início no último dia 23 e prometem divulgar uma posição até o meio-dia.
Apesar das negociações terem avançado, os quatro alunos que estão acorrentados em frente ao prédio da reitoria, continuam a greve de fome até o fim dos protestos.
“Os meninos estão em greve de fome há 11 dias e nós estamos preocupados com a saúde deles. Temos uma comissão de saúde com médicos, enfermeiros e psicólogos. A gente não quer só comida quer direito à assistência estudantil”, contou Brune Rapchaell, uma das estudantes.
Todo encontro foi intermediado por representantes da Defensoria Pública e também do Ministério Público Federal.
