O senador José Maranhão (PMDB-PB) em entrevista ao programa Conexão Master na noite desta segunda-feira, 10, falou sobre a crise política e econômica que o Brasil atravessa; da relação entre o Palácio do Planalto e o Congresso Nacional e das denúncias de corrupção que assola o governo e os partidos políticos. Para o peemedebista, as crises política e econômica estão relacionadas entre si e a celeridade do judiciário em julgar os casos de corrupção advindos da Operação Lava-Jato pode ser um passo importante para dissolução desta crise. “O apoio do PMDB ao governo do PT não é com incondicionalidade”
Maranhão acredita que uma resposta rápida da justiça no julgamento e condenação dos envolvidos na Operação Lava-Jato pode ajudar a abreviar os efeitos da crise. O senador também acredita que uma renúncia ou um impecheament da presidente Dilma Rousseff (PT), como vem sendo cogitado, pode piorar a situação do país.
José Maranhão afirmou ainda que um dos principais motivos para a instabilidade que o governo federal atravessa é a forma como a presidente se relaciona com o Congresso Nacional. Segundo ele, falta habilidade política a presidente e a sua assessoria política para uma convivência harmoniosa entre os Poderes Executivo e Legislativo. “Na história recente da política nacional não há um presidente que manteve uma relação conflituosa com o Congresso que tenha ido bem”, lembrou.
O senador lembrou que a crise entre o Planalto e o presidente da Câmara dos Deputados, Eduardo Cunha (PMDB-PB), teve início desde a eleição da Mesa Diretoria, quando o PT, com apoio do Planalto, lançou um candidato para competir com Cunha, quando haveria um acordo para que o PMDB ficasse com a presidência da Câmara.
Apesar de criticar a relação do Governo Federal para com o Congresso, Maranhão fez questão de ressaltar que as posições mais radicais do presidente Eduardo Cunha, não encontram respaldo no partido, que segue dando sustentação ao governo e ressaltou que 42 deputados do Partido dos Trabalhadores votaram em matérias que aumentam os gastos do governo coma máquina.
